Garcia Carrion's agricultural tradition began in Jumilla, in southwestern Spain. In 1890, the great-grandfather of the current president built a winery that, even by the standards of the time, had impressive capacity. The construction of this plant was facilitated by the sharp increase in wine exports to France. Since 1968 and to this day, the company has been managed by José García Carrion.
