Negru de Purcari is the signature wine of the Purcari house: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Saperavi and 5% Rară Neagră. Brick-red in colour, with a complex bouquet of ripe plum and fig, spice and saffron. The palate is deep and velvety, with fine tannins and a long finish. Hand-picked grapes, aged 18 months in French oak barriques.
