The La Chenaye Sancerre from Marcel Martin hails from the gastronomical mecca of the Loire Valley in France. This Sauvignon Blanc is light, crisp, and clean. It can transport a person from an urban sprawl into a countryside retreat with but a sip.

This wine is a summer afternoon neatly presented in a bottle. It is light on the palate - not overpowering in any way. It is very dry, thanks to the Sauvignon Blanc grape used, and it is quite acidic, but not overpoweringly so. To the eye: a pale yellow is presented with green reflections splashed throughout. On the nose: notes of citrus, green apple, and hay present themselves. On the palate: notes of citrus, pineapple, and mineras.
