Negru de Tomai Dry Red Wine Harvest Year 2016

This blended wine is produced using traditional techniques from selected Saperavi, Cabernet, and Merlot grapes grown on the Tomai-Vinex SA vineyards. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Color: deep red with ruby tones. Aroma: complex, spicy-fruity, with notes of violet, spices, red fruits (pomegranate, viburnum, blackcurrant, dried plums), complemented by oak barrel aging with nuances of vanilla and chocolate. Taste: full-bodied, velvety, harmonious, with a spicy-fruity aftertaste and balanced astringency. The rich body of Negru de Tomai requires a subtle approach: a bouquet of ripe dark fruits and spices can be beautifully balanced by creamy Gouda cheese. We recommend serving this wine with red meat dishes and appetizers. It pairs wonderfully with filet mignon in mushroom sauce.
